Kaitlyn 6 months pics

Here are some 6 month pictures Karen took for us. We went up and visited them back in October. Wow, as I'm writing this I realize that Kaitlyn is now 7 months. Man does time fly by.

Thanks for taking the pictures Karen, they look great!

Wedding

A couple weekends ago Keith and I went to Denver, to one of my college friends wedding. The wedding was beautiful and the bride was gorgeous (love ya Kat).  Here are a few pictures from that weekend.

Love ya girls and I miss ya! And yes I didn't take any pictures of the actual wedding or bride. Sorry Kat, but we had a great time! I did take some pictures from the website from the wedding.

On a side note, that was the first weekend Keith and I left Kaitlyn. She stayed with my parents and had a great time. My mom taught her how to pat-a-cake.

Eating solids!

Kaitlyn ate her first baby food in November.  It was sweet potatoes. She really didn't make any funny faces and she ate it really well. I'm going to be trying to make most of her baby food. Probably not the meat, that sounds just gross :) Anyway I baked the sweet potatoes and then blended them with breast milk. I put the blended sweet potatoes in ice cube trays and then froze them. After they are frozen, you pop the cubes out and put them in Ziploc bags. I think I used 4 sweet potatoes and it made 2 ice cube trays full. It was pretty easy and way cheaper than buying baby food!

The next food she had was peas.

She really didn't like the peas that well. She ate them better when I mixed them with the rice cereal. The peas were a little harder to make. I boiled them in a little water and then blended them. After that I had to run the peas through a wire mesh strainer.

Carrots were next and she ate them pretty well too. The first day wasn't the best, but by the 3rd day she was eating like a pro!

I think I'll make green beans next.

Halloween

I know it’s almost Thanksgiving, but I really need to put up some pictures of Halloween.  Kaitlyn was a lobster for Halloween. I made her Halloween costume and now I know why people just go to the store and buy them! The best part was I had almost everything I needed to make the costume. I just had to go out and buy a pot and spray paint it. The best part of her costume was that I made Keith and I chefs hats and aprons. It took awhile to convince Keith to wear the hat.

On Saturday w e went over to Casey and Kate’s to watch the game and we had them put on their costumes so we could get some pictures. They did a pretty good job during their photo shoot. It was pretty funny when they started pulling at each others costumes.

On Halloween we went up to the hospital to see Nick and Kylee.  Keith’s parents were up there too. Then we headed off to Gibbon to see Grandma Sievers and after that we headed off to my parents house and they were the only ones to see the whole outfit. For supper we went to Shelton for Georges Goblin Feed (burgers), but didn’t stay long because it was very cold. The last stop was Keith’s grandmas and then we went home. Kaitlyn did a pretty good job through the whole thing. Didn’t like the hat much, but that’s ok.

Hope everyone had a great Halloween!
